bako lovin’

There are rituals here, in this Bakersfield home. Coffee first thing. The morning news and breakfast in pj’s. Showers in rotations. Phone calls from grandmas, great to my girls. Donuts on the first day, and maybe the 4th, 9th, and 12th as well. Lunches out. Dinners in. Projects and parties and adventures for little ones. Visiting all the cousins, meeting new ones. Time and space to work on projects that are manageable with three adults to match the three young ones.

We’re here til mid-November. Time will fly – as always. And while it does, I’m happy to enjoy the sun, the sweet newborn smell of my squeaky new nephew, dress up the four grandchildren for Halloween, work on photo shoots, create my new photography website, spend a few days in mountain air, and have as many coffee dates with my mom as is possible with so many tiny people around.

Forgive me while I take a little break. I’ll be back to blogging more regularly soon!
